Tokyo Tower in Tokyo Japan by Colorado Jones
About
Built in 1958, Tokyo Tower has been the the "Nostalgic Symbol" of Tokyo. It has a height of 333 meters and is based off the Eiffel Tower in Paris. It was Japan's highest structure from 1958 to 2012 when Tokyo Skytree took the record. Tokyo Skytree definately stole a bit of Tokyo Tower's fame because of it's shear height and dominance in the city but Tokyo Tower still remains a beautiful and romantic landmark. At 332.9 metres (1,092 ft), it is the second-tallest structure in Japan after the new Tokyo Skytree.
There are two observation decks in Tokyo Tower, the Main Deck and the Top Deck. The Main Deck is at 150 meters and the Top Deck is at 250 meters which gives you a slightly better view of Tokyo. If the weather cooperates you might even be able to see Mt. Fuji and Tokyo Skytree. Construction Notice: Maintenace and renewal work is being carried on on the main deck and is expected to finish before 2020. At certain times, 1 of the 4 views may be bocked because of maintenance.
