Located in Daikanyama, Unit is a medium-sized club that takes advantage of its high ceiling, large performance stage and high quality sound system to downplay the fact that it is 10 meters underground. It gives it a refined feel in contrast to shabbier, cigarette-smoke congested music venues, to attract the more stylish young clientele which are mostly Japanese.
The basement B2 floor is the main music that presents a wide range of musical genres from rock to techno and just about anything in between. Great visuals complement its distinct sound quality. Two events are featured on the weekends, a live-music held in the evening and a DJ-hosted show in the later hours. Performances range from indie Japanese bands to overseas artists making their debut in Japan.
Unice, a cafe lounge on B1 floor which is open even during the day and the saloon bar on B3, which sometimes holds music events, are also worth checking out.
