Shikitei is a small pseudo Japanese Inn / cottage with traditional style architecture and a traditional Japanese Irori hearth. The best thing about the Inn is that it sits on the outskirts of town up in the trees where it's quite and beautiful. Guests can even have an outdoor barbecue or arrange for outdoor activities.
There are traditional style Japanese rooms with futon beds or cottages for rent. Each room has a flatscreen TV and a private bathroom. Some of the cottages even come with a cypress wooden bath!
In-room massages and facials are available for an extra fee. Bicycle rentals are also available as is horse riding, farming and craft-making at Fujisan Farm. Japanese hot-pots are available for dinner and a Western set menu for breakfast. All meals are served at the dining room or the terrace of each guest's cottage.
Free parking is available on-site. Fujisan Train Station is a 5-minute drive away. Shikitei Inn is a 15-minute drive from Lake Kawaguchi and Lake Yamanaka. Fujikyu Highland is a 20-minute drive away.
