Sanrio Puroland or Hello Kitty Land Tokyo is centered around Sanrio's most famous creation, Hello Kitty. There are various kid shows, cute characters walking around, the Hello Kitty House, a boat ride and of course... lots of shops selling an incredible amount and variety of products. Sanrio Puroland targets mainly children and people who are taken with the cuteness of Hello Kitty. There is a parade, three live theaters and one film theater... be sure to check the schedules for the shows so you don't miss them. It also includes attraction areas themed to candy, ice cream, bread, juice, and chocolate factories. The park is not huge and most people spend about half a day inside but inside the park is quite an amazing place where visitors can immerse themselves in the magical park. If your a Hello Kitty fan or have some kids, Puroland might be a place worth visiting but for an average adult with no interest in Hello Kitty, other options might be the better choice.

Sanrio Puroland opened in 1990 and is owned by the Sanrio company. The Sanrio Company is an entertainment based company that puts on musicals, owns restaurants, theme parks and the rights to characters such as Hello Kitty, My Melody, Cinnamoroll and Jewelpet. Sanrio Puroland attracts many visitors from overseas because of the worldwide popularity of Hello Kitty and it's other characters. Puroland sells tons of Hello Kitty and Sario character merchandise so if you looking for that unique and "super cute" item, Puroland most likely has it. In the summer, Puroland shoots off a limited amount of fireworks most days.
