Ryokan Motonago is situated in a quiet, nostalgic area, completely apart from the hustle and bustle of the busy business district of Kyoto. This traditional Ryokan opened over 30 years ago and the building is over 100 years old. It has 11 traditional Japanese-style rooms and Kyoto-style meals are served in the guest rooms while the staff wear traditional kimonos as they serve the meals. It is conveniently located near historic buildings and temples like the "Nene-no-Michi" stone road that leads to the Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Entoku-in Temple, Sannenzaka slope, Chion-in temple and others.
