About

Osaka Station City is the major railway station/shopping mall located in the Umeda district, Osaka. It is also known as "Kita" (nickname) and it serves a large number of trains traveling either local or inter-regional serving over 2 million passengers daily! The place was renovated from its former dark and super cramped station in 2011 making it one of the most attractive railways in Osaka. Today, there is a large glass roof that spans over the railway tracks and gives the station a lot of new open space which is the landmark of the station. The north and south sides of the station provide travelers with a wide array of shopping, dining, entertainment and recreation opportunities, and are connected with each other by a wide bridge over the railway tracks.
