About
Opened in 1989, the Osaka Science Museum (in Japanese; Osaka Shiritsu Kagakukan 大阪市立科学館) is located at the Nakanoshima Island. Although the museum is just as interesting to adults, it is a great place for children to learn about science as there are many "interactive" exhibits in which children can partake. There are 4 floors of interactive exhibits and displays covering the universe, chemistry, electricity and energy. The Osaka Science Museum is famous for it's planetarium with multiple daily shows and an Imax Dome Theater, called "Omnimax", with a rotating selection of Imax films at additional cost.
