About
The "Meiji No Mori Minou Quasi-National Park" (in Japanese; Minou Koen 明治の森箕面国定公園) is a valley-forest in the outskirts of Osaka, just north of the urban sprawl. It was founded in 1967 and has an area of almost 10 kilometers. It is one of the best places to visit during fall because of the vibrant colors in natural setting of the trees and plants surrounding the area. There is a hiking trail extends about three kilometers through a valley alongside the Minoo River. The trail begins near Hankyu Minoo Station and leads to the Minoo Waterfall. Visitors will also love the waterfall which is at 33 meters height which is the park's main attraction.
