Matsumoto Hotel Kagetsu is a solid 3 star, super clean hotel with excellent reviews and service. The hotel is semi-close to the major station Matsumoto and very close to the Matsumoto Castle. Food is excellent, the rooms slightly more spacious than regular Japanese hotels and they have a public bath which makes it a pleasant stay (open from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.).
