Inside Kyoto Station, the modern architecture of Kyoto Station
About
Kyoto Station (in Japanese; Kyoto Eki 京都駅), some people love the "new" Kyoto station, some people... well, "dislike" it. It is a "Super-Modern" design that sits in the middle of... old Kyoto. The building itself is grey with sleek styling. It is definitely convenient and the layout moves people around fairly quickly. The Kyoto Station is considered as the city's transportation hub designed by Hara Hiroshi, a Japanese architect where it attempts to show the modernity of the city. There are two sides to Kyoto Station: Karasuma and Hachijo and there is a main hall between them made up of steel beamed roof which is called as the Matrix where it attempts to show the building's structure and the street work of the city.
