Oyama Castle or Koyama Castle
About
Oyama Castle (in Japanese; Oyama Jyou 小山城) is a mock up of the original that stood near this site. Originally a fort was built on the location and then Oyama castle in the late 1500's. Oyama castle played a role in controlling power in the region and as a "staging point" for the attack on Takatenjin Castle (Siege of Takatenjin). Like all castles in the region, Oyama castle fell the the Tokugawa Ieyasu forces in 1582.
