Toka Ebisu is a Japanese Traditional festival ( 十日えびす大祭・十日恵比須祭り ) that started with Japanese Geisha in Nanchi district who prayed to the Ebisu god known as Ebessan for business success on behalf of their patrons in Semba district. This Japanese festival is held at many shrines mostly in the Kansai (Osaka) area. Imamiya Ebisu Shrine is the most popular shrine for this festival and is visited by over million people each year who come to pray for happiness and business success. People doing business in the Minami district, famous entertainers, Fuku-Musume (Lucky Maidens) and geisha in colorful palanquins parade through the streets to Imamiya Ebisu Shrine.
